L'Ideal campsite is located just a half hour's drive from the historic town of Annecy and about a 10-minute walk from Lake Annecy. There are so many beautiful places to see here that you can easily spend the whole day exploring the area.

The campsite's facilities are excellent and plenty of sports activities are arranged for guests of all ages, including aqua gym and water polo for water lovers. And that's not all! Sports fanatics can play football, tennis and volleyball to their heart's delight. The kids will be thrilled to hear that there is a fantastic entertainment crew who arranges a whole host of fun-packed activities during the peak season, such as, painting, crafts and dancing! There is a mini club from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. every morning, as well as shows every evening.

L'Ideal campsite has a bar, restaurant and pizzeria where you can relax and enjoy a tasty meal and a few drinks. Twice a week, the campsite arranges a dinner-dance affair and a different menu, based on a special theme. During peak season, the restaurant is open from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Swimming facilities at L'Ideal campsite

L'Ideal boasts several pools with slides and sun loungers where you and the kids can have loads of fun. There is a lovely kiddies pool, complete with special water features and slides for the little ones, and for the adults, a separate pool with waterfall, rapids and loungers in the water. You will also find a heated, indoor pool during high season.

You can also relax at Lake Annecy and take a refreshing dip in the lovely, blue water, while admiring the picturesque mountains in the background. If you fancy a break from the sun and a bite to eat, you can try out one of the many terraces and restaurants at the lake!

In the vicinity of L'Ideal campsite

Near the campsite is Annecy, a beautiful town with some great places for you to explore! Why not take a leisurely stroll along the lovely shopping street of Rue Saint Claire or wander across the romantic bridge of Pont des Amours? There are also some lovely rambling and cycle routes around the lake for you to discover, too!

It is also possible to visit the ski resort of Alpe d'Huez from the campsite. Alpe d'Huez is where the Dutch Cancer Society holds its annual cycling and running event to raise money for charity. During your stay, you can discover the route for yourself.
